Our Happy Hounds Organics began in 2005 when Debbie Russell began looking at what she was feeding her pets; especially her Dogs (Gracie, Jack, Friday and Sammi). She knew there had to be fresher, healthier treats available - so she began to bake her own dog treats. People soon started requesting treats for their pups and before long...a business was born out of sheer OPPORTUNITY!
Well, when Debbie began baking, she used only Organic ingredients, but that was in the days of wheat and corn; so Debbie teamed up with her long time friend, Krista Harrison. Krista has a background in Food Science (and a couple of very cute dogs), so she added a few changes and standardized the recipes, which include NO Wheat/ No Corn/ No Soy/ No Added Salt Or Artificial Anything!
We sincerely enjoy baking these treats and each ingredient is selected based on the best nutritional standards for your animals.
After the changes were made, the labels printed and the biscuits baked, the orders started pouring in...the happiest dogs are here in Lane County (we often carry samples to treat our four-legged friends), but now our biscuits are known around the entire USA!
