Our Happy Hounds Biscuit Bakery opened in 2005 when Debbie Russell (mother of many pets) read an ingredient label on a bag of generic dog biscuits. She couldn't understand the reasoning behind the preservatives & additives, so she began baking homemade organic treats and biscuits for her dogs. Her dogs thrived! She shared the treats with some friends, who "begged" for more... Debbie began selling and gifting her doggie treats to clients through referrals and requests. She asked her enterprising friend, Krista Harrison (another mother of many pets) to join her in early 2007, thus creating the official Organic Bakery. Now, it is 2008 and we have a new name! We will slowly transition our labels to reflect our new identity... We hope that your animals enjoy our products. All of our recipes have been tested and are created in our own kitchens with Organic natural ingredients, such as natural Organic barley and oat flour, Organic natural peanut butter, Organic Pacific Northwest honey, Organic bananas, Organic golden flax seeds and all-natural broth (we make our own). We have quite a farm here between our two families (7 kids, 5 dogs, 5 cats, a tortoise, a rabbit, 3 hamsters, 6 fish and a chinese water dragon - sadly, Lily the water dragon passed. We are now raising Praying Mantis'). Rest assured that we know animals! Your animal deserves the very best ingredients, and so do you. All of our treats are wholesome, nutritious and delicious.
